I'm Taylor.
I'm from Louisiana, currently in San Francisco. I have a Master's degree in chemistry and have
been in the refining/chemical industry for about 7 years. After a few role changes, I slowly began transitioning into tech, until I realized how much I enjoyed database management, problem-solving, and the continuous learning that comes with programming. I was also lucky enough to experience DefCon in 2022. It opened my eyes! I knew I wanted to make the change completely! I started coding at the beginning of
2022 and haven't stopped. I recently graduated from a fullstack software engineering boot camp! I enjoy working on the backend and learning how technologies communicate with each other, working to optimize speed and space, and keeping everything secure!
Life is too short for just one hobby.
I love to cook, and drink coffee. I love games of any style. I'm a pretty avid reader. I like
running, biking, soccer, volleyball, tennis, fishing, sailing, crotchet, soldering/hardware
hacking.
I love learning new skills! Excited to add more!
